Technical/International Training Logistics Support.

RISD subcontracts with different agencies implementing USAID funding.
Subcontract No. RAISE-1652-RISD-001: Best Practices for Land and Natural Resource Property Rights in East and Central Africa

This is an international training, held in Rwanda between November – December 2007, implemented by ARD, Inc. under the funding of USAID. RISD was subcontracted to provide logistics for the training.
This is USAID project in partnership with the Rwanda Government, through the ministry responsible for land, that was implemented by ARD

Background

The purpose of the course is to strengthen the capacity of national policy makers, USAID personnel and implementing partner technical staff in the East and Central Africa region to assess land tenure and property rights constraints experienced in their countries and design policies and implementing strategies appropriate for addressing those constraints. Countries targeted for this course include: Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The course was had about 80 participants, including facilitators
